Elutia^® Wound Drains

Patient safety is important; that is why Bacterin created the first antimicrobial–coated wound drain. Elutia^® channel drains feature a micron-thin hydrogel coating that is intended to inhibit microbial contamination of the drain. Contained within the coating is silver sulfadiazine, an antimicrobial agent known for pronounced efficacy against microorganisms.

Elutia^® wound drains are available in multiple sizes, and in round or flat styles. They are available with and without a pre-attached trocar and evacuation reservoirs are also available (sold separately). Uncoated drains are also available with and without a pre-attached trocar as Bacterin’s family of Via™ wound drains.

Via™ Wound Drains

Via™ wound drains offer significant advantages over conventional perforated drains due to a design focused on patient comfort. Tissue that grows into a flute of a channel drain is intended to slide along the grooves upon removal, resulting in minimal tissue trauma and patient discomfort.
